For those of you that were unable to attend the Osseo Parents meeting on March 16th and would like to discuss the future direction of the Osseo program please contact any of the people listed below. We do want to hear from you so either give us a call or send an email with your thoughts. Send an email if you would like a copy of the presentation that was given at the meeting.

UPDATE 5-14
At the May 12th OMGHA board meeting it was approved to combine the Osseo and Maple Grove youth travel programs for the 2008/09 season. This was approved for 1 year. The OMGHA board will look at this again after the secondary boundary changes for the Osseo school district are known. The school district is communicating this could be in the December 2008 timeframe.

UPDATE 4-30
Due to the current number of players projected to tryout for traveling hockey within the Osseo program and to allow all OMGHA players the opportunity to play at their appropriate levels, the OMGHA board is reviewing current team configuration of both the Osseo and Maple Grove youth programs.
The intention of the OMGHA Board is not to eliminate any teams, but to form additional teams based on the number of players at the given levels. Thus, OMGHA will have the same number of youth playing travel hockey as in previous years.
Current discussions were based around a 1 year trail basis due to pending School Boundary changes. This will be discussed at the May board meeting.

Update 4-13-08
Osseo Families,
First thanks to all that attended the March 16th meeting or contacted someone from Osseo Traveling in regards to the future of Osseo hockey. Based on all the feedback we have received the majority of the surey results want to preserve the Osseo identity and not merge at this time. Many of you stated that with the strong potential of High School boundary changes for the 2009/10 school year we should wait before we move down the merger path. Also stated was the need to continue to work at placing our kids at the appropriate level. We all realize with our low numbers we have many challenges. Osseo Traveling will be working in the coming weeks on a solution to accomplish preserving the Osseo program while also placing kids at the appropriate level. Feel free to continue to share your thoughts with Osseo Traveling as we continue to focus on the 2008/09 season.
