2008 Fall 4X4 Hockey League

THE OSSEO MAPLE GROVE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION FALL 4 ON 4 HOCKEY LEAGUE IS DESIGNED FOR SUPERMITE AND MITE II AGE PLAYERS. THE 4 ON 4 FORMAT ALLOWS PLAYERS MORE ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN GAMES. THIS LEAGUE IS DESIGNED TO BE A FUN WAY TO GET ON THE ICE AND DEVELOP SKILLS BEFORE THE START OF THE WINTER SEASON. Click HERE for more information. OMGHA Bantam Traveling Meeting

All potential OMGHA bantams players and parents are invited to a meeting on Thursday, August 14th, at 7:30pm at the Maple Grove Community Center. The “new”, separate, Bantam A tryout process will be discussed as well as other changes in the Bantam tryouts.

ALL POTENTIAL COACHES FOR THE 2008/09 HOCKEY SEASON

Please check the CEP coaches spreadsheet under the coaching section of the website to make sure your CEP is current and at the correct level. Coaches need to be current or have a class scheduled by tryout time to be considered for a coaching position.

Level required at each level
Mite/supermite/U8 – level 1
Squirt and 10U – level 2
PW/Ban/12U/14U – level 3

Osseo / Maple Grove Traveling Update

The OMGHA Board of Directors voted at the May board meeting to combine all levels of the Osseo and Maple Grove youth travel programs for the 2008-09 season. This is a one-year combination, and the Board will re-examine the travel programs once District 279 has made high school boundary changes. Details of the combination will be worked out between the travel programs, and information will be announced to the membership as soon as it becomes available.

15TH ANNUAL “OSSEO BOYS HOCKEY TEAM” GOLF TOURNAMENT 8/24/08

The 15th Annual “Osseo Boys Hockey Team” Golf Tournament has been scheduled for August 24, 2008 at Fox Hollow Golf Course (Gold/Black Course). This year’s tournament will feature an 18 hole scramble, top team trophies, door prizes, and dinner. More info to follow.
