Dear OMGHA Families:
The Osseo-Maple Grove Youth Hockey Association (OMGHA) is an important part of our families’ lives. We all commit valuable time, energy and resources to our children’s total hockey experience and it is gratifying to watch their dreams grow from Mites through Junior Gold and the Under 19 programs.
To continue to build on this positive experience and offer more opportunities for players to develop their skills through training and practice, OMGHA has made a commitment of raising $1.4 million (of the $7 million necessary) to construct an additional sheet of ice at the Maple Grove Community Center. This is no small task, by any means, but the association is dedicated to maintaining our tradition of hockey excellence and serving the needs of our families.
OMGHA is currently engaged in an aggressive corporate fund-raising campaign to help fund a majority of its financial commitment to the construction of the facility. However, it also understands that it is necessary to have a complimentary internal fund-raising component to successfully achieve its goal. That is why it has launched PROJECT I.C.E. (Ice Center Expansion) to assist in completing this task.
The objective of PROJECT I.C.E. is to secure 100% participation from ALL OMGHA families. That is because an additional sheet of ice will have an impact on ALL players. No gift is too large or too small, and making a contribution of any amount will help ensure that success. Employer matching gifts are also welcome and should be considered when making your pledge.
Materials and information about PROJECT I.C.E. available on this web site, including a Frequently Asked Questions document, contribution/benefits summary and pledge card. For help with any questions, or if you would like to provide additional help and support outside of a financial contribution, please call me at 612-554-5714 or e-mail me at jmordhorst@comcast.net.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
Yours in hockey,
Jeff Mordhorst
